Meta boss Zuckerberg takes a swipe at rival Apple
Meta’s boss Mark Zuckerberg took a dig at Apple’s planned control of the virtual reality market
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has taken a personal shot at competitor business Apple’s latest headgear.
The Vision Pro made news when celebrities like Diplo and T-Pain used it in public, with the “passthrough” feature allowing users to view their surroundings while using it.
However, in a video made utilizing the Meta Quest 3’s passthrough, Zuckerberg asserted that his company’s headgear is “the best product, period”.
Apple has been contacted for comment.
Passthrough is a function included in the most current mixed reality headsets that allows users to look beyond the screen attached to their heads.

Users receive a live, high-definition video feed of their surroundings via cameras on the outside of the headset, allowing them to wear a headset while walking or exercising.
Meta has been developing this technology for about a decade, and it is also used in competing devices like Sony’s PlayStation VR 2.
However, Zuckerberg is frustrated that the Vision Pro is being touted over other technologies.
