Cristiano Ronaldo debuts new celebration after scoring his first goal of 2024

Cristiano Ronaldo marked his first competitive game of 2024 with a goal and a new celebration

Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr introduced a new goal celebration on Wednesday night after scoring his first goal of 2024 in a 1-0 victory against Al Feiha in the first leg of their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League round of 16 matches, according to Goal.

Wednesday night’s match between the two sides had been a disappointing one for the Riyadh club, but Ronaldo’s goal made all the difference.

After a quick one-two with Marcelo Brozovic, Ronaldo beat the Al Feiha goalkeeper with a clever first-time chip from nine yards in the 81st minute.

The late-winning goal was his 874th career goal, and it came in his 1,000th club appearance.
It was also the former Real Madrid star’s first goal after turning 39.

Following his first stunning performance of 2024, the soccer great appeared to be going to do his famous ‘SIU’ celebration by springing into the air, but instead of spinning and extending his arms, he closed his eyes and placed both hands on his chest.
