A shooting occurred at the Bronx subway station in New York on Monday evening, killing one person and injuring five others, according to the New York Post.
Bronx police said they are looking for the shooter who opened fire on people on the train and underground platform.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), fighting broke out between the two groups of teens when a guy pulled out his pistol and started firing.
They said that the first shot was fired inside the train, but all six persons were shot on the platform outside the train, with a total of ten rounds fired, according to witnesses.
CNN said that four men were shot, including a 34-year-old who died in the hospital. The injured people include a 15-year-old, a 28-year-old, and a 71-year-old.
A 14-year-old child and a 29-year-old woman were also injured by gunfire, although their injuries were not life-threatening.
The shooter fled the area in a red jacket and ski mask.

Tarik Sheppard, the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of public information, stated, “To the shooter, you are now the NYPD’s most wanted, and you have the best detectives in the world hunting for you. “We recommend you turn yourself in.”
According to data, around 3.8 million trips are taken on New York’s subway system on an average daily, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority recorded 570 felony assaults in 2023.
